KirstenStrough

Kirsten’s interest in film and digital media began when she was a little girl and has only grown since. She joined the Fruitland High School Broadcast Program at age 15 and immediately delved into moviemaking. Her first short, Teacup, won multiple awards including the Grand Prize at the Idaho Teen Film Festival. She also won first place in the nation for the E-Commerce event in Business Professionals of America.

After graduating valedictorian from Fruitland High School, Kirsten attended Boise State University on the full-ride Legacy Scholarship funded by the BSU Alumni Association. She is currently a senior majoring in Mass Communication/Journalism with a minor in Political Science. In the spring of 2010, Kirsten also expanded her education through a six-month study-abroad program in The Netherlands.

Throughout her time at Boise State, she has been heavily involved with the Department of Communication (both through work and study), University Television Production, Dead 8 Film Club, and Apt Pupil Films in addition to non-video-related groups such as the Keith Stein Blue Thunder Marching Band and Bronco F.A.N. Club.

Kirsten will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in May, 2011.
