“Grace under pressure”
–Ernest Hemingway
The quote rings so true this summer. If you’d ask me to describe Peppershock’s summer so far in one word I’d say, hustle. With 3 premieres in June and video projects getting wrapped up we’ve stayed busy and we wouldn’t have it any other way. After all, a river never carved a canyon by staying still right!
On behalf of the Peppershock team, we would like to say thank you to everyone that came out to support and enjoy the movie at the Boise, Nampa, and Moscow premieres. If you attended you might remember that part in the movie were the Williamson’s are sitting around the table and discussing that the best part of making wine is the joy in someone’s eye when they take the first sip of wine. Much the same for us, seeing you smile and enjoy the movie can be the most rewarding part. It also doesn’t hurt when you support and share the experience with friends and family, the movie is available in DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital Download for anyone wanting to see the story of Idaho wine.
If you didn’t get a chance to see Idaho Wine, From Bud to Taste Bud on the big screen don’t worry you still can. We are currently in works of planning a Glenns Ferry premiere in August at Crossings Winery (formally Carmella Vineyard) and possibly a showing in Coeur d’Alene during the fall season. Stay tuned for more details and ticket availability.
Our video guys have had their hands full, mostly from loading and unloading our grip truck. From shooting outdoor activities in McCall to learning about prehistoric sharks being studied in Idaho, it’s been a blast to work with NASCAR and Discovery Channel Canada (look for some awesome interviews during Shark Week, in Canada of course).
And it hasn’t just been production shoots for big companies; we’ve gotten the chance to produce some awesome video for our clients here at home. Just ask the guys over at A1 Plumbing and Perfect Air Heating & Cooling, they really enjoy the “Quality” spot we did for them and are so excited to continue producing commercials. Check out the video here. We also were recommended by the Idaho Department of Tourism to shoot and edit for the Cascade Chamber for a TV spot that will run on CBS Sports during the Payette River Games that will help promote our beautiful state.
Another great part of summertime is the outdoor networking events going on. Here are a few happening around the Treasure Valley. For example this Thursday is Buy Idaho’s All-Star Networking event at the Hawks Stadium! Hopefully we’ll see you there. Next week is the Snake River Stampede Rodeo Parade Pancake Breakfast, that’s a mouth full of a name and for just $5 it could also be a mouthful of delicious pancakes! Event details here. Also coming up this month is the Rotary Club of Nampa’s 26th Annual Rotary Golf for Hope is July 22nd, this long-standing tournament was established to help raise funds for the Hope House.
