President’s Letter October 2015

Rhea“Good, better best. Never let it rest. Until the good and better is best” –Tim Duncan

My motivation this month comes from this quote in Steve Shallenberger’s new book Becoming Your Best. Read it to learn how to take your company from merely mediocre to exceptional. I was able to join him this month at the Tri Market Connect Share Summit. It was an amazing conference augmented by great putt-putt golf. You can’t help having a good time when you get a hole in one!

Much can be accomplished by following this straightforward advice. Accordingly, here at Peppershock we continue to go full-steam ahead. Coming up on the 21st of this month, we are honored to sponsor the Nampa Chamber luncheon. Troy Lindquist, Senior Service Hydrologist with the National Weather Service, will be sharing the impact of the El Niño on our local climate. Furthermore, listen to the Davison Family share their story of becoming the 2015 Ag Family of the Year. You can register here.

Shocktoberfest2015R4Hot on it’s heels is our business success workshop and our anniversary celebration, Shocktoberfest, which serves double purpose as a huge thank you to the community. We have been in business twelve years now thanks to your support! The three hour-long workshop begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Peppershock studio and office. I will be presenting 10 Greatest Marketing Fears: How to face your fears and get results. We’ll also be featuring guest speakers Jennifer Deroin, Chief Operating Officer at Nichols Accounting, and Scott Marker, author and adjunct professor at Boise State University. They will contribute down-to-earth methods for monitoring data for sustainable, profitable business and effective ways to fix sales. As Scott Marker aptly says, “It’s not rocket science folks!” Register at peppershock.com/events. This year, as an additional thank you, we’re offering a discount with the promo code “eNews.” Shocktoberfest will immediately follow the workshop at no charge, it’s the Nampa Chamber after-hours and continue until we’re all partied out! Come prepared for a costume contest and ghoulish eats!

Coming up next on the schedule is the screening of Idaho Wine: From Bud to Taste Bud at the Crossings Winery in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. Learn about Idaho’s unique grape growing conditions and get to know the people that have dedicated their lives to the craft of making award winning boutique wines right here in Idaho. For more information or to buy tickets visit idahowinedocumentary.com/events.
