Doesn’t it feel like it was just yesterday?
I feel like we blinked, and suddenly the leaves were gone, and the heat came on!
November is that warm, pumpkin-colored, and pumpkin-flavored zone in between the fun of Halloween, the warmth and gratitude of Thanksgiving, and the giving season that it brings. I know that “gratitude” is having a moment right now, and counting your blessings can seem trite, but I wanted to share some things that I am grateful for not only as a business owner, but as a mom, and a member of this incredible community!
Shocktoberfest 2021 is a wrap!
Being able to celebrate 18 years of being in business right here in the Treasure Valley, and 12 years of hosting Shocktoberfest is a combination of all the fun, frights and treats we’ve enjoyed, and this year was no exception!
Our annual client appreciation shin-dig didn’t disappoint, and here is a gallery of all the fun for you to enjoy! We are so blessed to have the friendship and support of not only our clients, but vendors, friends, community members, and more!
We had to pivot again for the Post Production World Conference, as the uncertainty of this pandemic continues to change what we think we can or should expect from day to day, minute to minute! The conference went virtual, and this is what I am grateful for: the fact that we have this amazing network of innovators and game-changers that aren’t afraid to take advantage of all the awesome ways technology allows us to grow, share, connect, and inspire each other!
Football is life, and you know in our household when the calendar flips to fall, it’s on! I am grateful I have these healthy, active, sharp-minded men running around in my house, and that they get to call me, ‘mom!’
I’m grateful that even though our doggo Dash had a run-in with a vehicle, he’s back up and running (but hopefully not away).
I’m grateful for the new clients that we have been able to discover, get to know, and watch grow! Our business community is thriving, and it’s so gratifying to watch their dreams and goals come to life under the guiding minds and eyes of our amazing Peppershock team! The strategy, the video production, the graphics, the content, and finished products are so good, thanks for letting us serve you!
And finally? I’m grateful for all the things that are to come. Family, food, friends, and brighter and brighter light at the end of the table, with plenty of turkey and pumpkin pie for everyone!

Blog Post from The Marketing Expedition Community
For any business that’s just starting out, or maybe a smaller business who’s been around for a while but still needs to watch their budget, marketing can seem daunting! When every penny counts, you may not feel like you even have a shoestring to budget with, let alone enough to really make a difference, but there are many things you can do to maximize your time and your marketing budget, simultaneously!
For starters, what exactly is a shoestring budget? According to legends (or Google, whichever sounds more intriguing to you) the phrase shoestring budget is English and harkens to a time when prisoners used to dangle their shoes out the window by their shoestrings, in hopes that passersby would drop some money inside.
Now if that sounds like about the amount of money you currently have earmarked for your marketing budget, you’re in luck, because we are going to show you how to create awareness, increase sales, build your brand or promote an event, on a shoestring budget!
For starters, everyone has the same three things to work with when it comes to marketing, advertising, branding, or promoting and event.
