About Hailey
Hailey Akkerman is a senior at Northwest Nazarene University majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Studio Art. When she was young she loved to draw and doodle in the margins of her homework and decided to pursue design upon coming to college. Her work has included designing for websites, having illustrations in art shows, and having work used for music albums and even a beauty campaign.
In the last year Hailey studied abroad in Busan, South Korea for four months. Despite not knowing Korean, and having more than a few embarrassing communication errors because of it, she enjoyed her time on the beach and enjoying the cuisine. She misses the instant noodles and spicy rice cakes the most but doesn’t miss climbing the hills around town in the least. In her free time she enjoys illustrating fanart and comics, watching animated movies, playing Pokémon games, and drinking more coffee than is reasonably healthy. Beyond her design skills she is also an expert in quoting movies, having memorized the entire script of Mulan by the age of 12.
