A Public Relations and Advertising campaign attracted sponsors, fans and donors for the Boise Hawks

Picture this…

Freshly cut lawn, franks sizzling on the grill, an ice cold Pepsi, friends and family laughing. Now imagine the fresh summer air starting to cool, the sun begins to set behind third base and then suddenly the memorable, quotable, beloved characters of The Sandlot flicker forth on a glorious silver screen in center field. True Americana.

This was the essence behind the Hawks Family Movie Night, an event Peppershock conceived cerebrating the 20th anniversary of the classic film The Sandlot at Boise Hawks Memorial Stadium. Boise Hawks Family Movie Night was a fun event for the whole family inviting people to relive the innocence of baseball, apple pie and community.

Goals and Objectives

Special Guests

Peppershock Media has collaborated with Boise Hawks to create a brand that will attract new sponsors, fans and donors while illustrating the mission and goals of the Hawks to the community. These efforts describe that what the Boise Hawks do is far more reaching than just producing a great night of entertainment. The goals of the PR and Advertising campaign are to increase attendance and revenue at Boise Hawks events and position the Hawks in the forefront of patrons’ minds when choosing how to spend their marketing and entertainment dollars. As part of the 2013 advertising strategy, a bulk of the paid media was placed with KTVB and KTVB.com.

Special Guests in attendance were Actor Marty York (Yeah Yeah in the film) and Scott Evans, the real Life inspiration behind many iconic scenes in The Sandlot.
