President’s Letter – May 2017

“Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now.” Alan Lakein

Hello friends, another month has gone by and every day is getting brighter.

New Projects

We have all been hard at work here at Peppershock, working on many new projects. One of our newest, returning clients is the Canyon County Fair! We love seeing our work out there in the world, and being able to collaborate with the fair has been a rewarding experience. Make sure to follow the Canyon County Fair on social media to catch up on the latest happenings!

Team Building Fun

Here at Peppershock, we like to engage in team building strategies and other fun activities. One of these activities combines fun with lunch, or as we affectionately call it, “Funch.” When we can, we meet on Fridays to discuss our successes, frustrations, new technologies and goals as a team. In April, we had a show n’ tell and it was one of the highlights of our month. Everybody got to share what they had been working on and it was great to see the dedication and creativity of our crew.

Besides seeing each other at work, some of us have been attending Trivia Night at the Flying M Coffee Garage in Nampa! The trivia weaves between various topics, making teamwork a necessity to succeed. Recently, we won first place and the coveted gift card awards! Thank you Flying M!

We Are Winners!

Peppershock was nominated and named “Small Business of the Year” by the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce! We had so much fun at the awards ceremony, mingling with people and discovering other small businesses. We were so anxious for the results. Once it was time for the big reveal, the Boise Chamber announced that the 2017 Small Business of the Year is… Peppershock Media! Wow, what a surprise! The crew jumped for joy as I walked up to the stage and received the award and spoke in front of 700 people. What an honor!

We are so grateful for our staff, clients and our community.

Rotary Happenings

Some of you may or may not know that I am the president of the Rotary Club of Nampa. Our club has participated in some awesome volunteer projects this last month. We spent almost two months organizing a Spring Benefit we named, “Wine, Dine & Be Kind,” to raise money for local non-profit organizations. This month, Rotary hosted this dinner with the proceeds benefiting The Shoe That Grows! There was delicious food, a raffle and a silent auction. Not only was it a great time, but we also raised thousands of dollars!

I also had the privilege of interviewing Nampa Rotarians for a video we just finished. I love being able to hear some of the most amazing stories ever told on-camera. I am so grateful for all the good that happens because of Rotarians. Although each of the stories are really great, there is one particular story we captured that I just cannot wait to share! Stay tuned and make sure you are following us on social media to keep up to date!  www.facebook.com/namparotary
