President’s Letter | January 2018

By January 2, 2018March 14th, 2018blog

Hello 2018!

I hope everyone had a lovely holiday! I spent my Christmas with the Allen’s in McCall, Idaho. A few days of fresh air and minimal technology was just what I needed to end my year!

Allen Family - Peppershock Media

This world is full of people who are different and it’s an interesting concept to think about. There are over 7 billion people in this world but there is no one exactly like me: A woman CEO, wife, mom, and Rotarian who drives a Peppershock colored Jeep. One thing that everyone has in common is that we all love a clean slate. Each and every one of us has the choice to make a New Year’s Resolution and it’s so easy to break the goals we worked so hard to make. In fact, my last resolution on my list is to keep the goals I have made. Who else is with me?

2017 is now officially a thing of the past and reflecting on the last year leaves me with a smile. A few highlights included working with the Canyon County Fair, where the crew completed a year’s worth of work in three months. Although some might have believed it to be impossible, we kicked ass and brought 4,000 more people to the fair with our marketing efforts. Peppershock opened a second location in Salt Lake, we created awesome videos and memorable graphic design work. 2017 will forever be known as the year we started Marketing Expedition Webinars and our Podcast. Lastly, Peppershock was also named Small Business of the Year by the Boise Metro Chamber. Of course none of this would have been possible if I didn’t have such a dedicated crew of creative thinkers by my side.

I always look forward to the Peppershock Christmas party and this year, we celebrated at Big Al’s in Meridian. We had a fantastic time bowling and laughing together while exchanging white elephant gifts. One thing that makes Peppershock unique is “marbles.” During the year, the crew has the opportunity to earn marbles through hard work and turning in their timesheets. At the end of the year, we hold a marble auction where they each have the chance to bid on items. If you are a business owner with an awesome crew, you should also consider doing something like this. Not only does it help with motivation but it pays off for them in the end!

Foo Fighters

Drew and I took the kids to see the Foo Fighters! Years from now, my kids can look back and understand why going to a rock show is a hell of a first concert.

Ringing Bells With Nampa Rotary

I showed my support for the Salvation Army by ringing bells and raising money with the Rotary Club of Nampa!

Volunteering with Albertsons

The Peppershockers volunteered to raise money for the Idaho Food Bank. It was a long three hours in front of Albertsons, but it felt good to support our clients and the community.
