President’s Letter February 2022

28 days to make it count!

A message from Rhea Allen

February is the shortest month of the year, even when it’s really stretching its legs with leap day, but sometimes it can feel like the LONGEST month ever.

But this is the way that I look at it: we’ve got 28 days to make it count!

28 days to dust off and reboot those January things that didn’t quite materialize, and really give them the legs they need to run, or the wings they need to fly!

#10yearchallenge

So how can you take this super short month, and make it long on returns?

Time-sensitive goals really are some of my favorites, because setting a due date holds you and everyone else on your team accountable. So the goals I am setting for this month aren’t going to leave me any wiggle room or time for excuses.

What didn’t work last month? Take those lessons, retool, revamp, and be prepared to watch your efforts reap rewards with the knowledge you can now apply!

How can what you do now, set you up for success in the months to come? Your goals don’t have to be just February specific, they can be steps, building blocks, or small pieces of that super big, audacious thing you are trying to create!

We’ve got the tools, we’ve got the talent, we’ve got the knowledge, but what if you feel like you aren’t quite sure what to task yourself with to make these 28 days count?

Last month we held our most popular event of the year, New Marketing Trends for the New Year, and despite all the different versions of yuck and scary going around, we were so pleased to have so many in attendance! With that being said, we’re really proud of how much better we have gotten at hybrid events over the past two years, and I know many of you will be applying all the great things we learned in the coming months.

Pretty much without a hitch, and this NEVER happens! I’d like to thank our cast of amazing presenters for sharing their talent, experience, knowledge, and humor, so make sure you check them out if you haven’t already!

We hope to see even more of your smiling faces in person and online next year, for Peppershock’s favorite event!

We’re really all in this together this time, with absences at school, work, in our homes, and beyond, but so many good things are happening, and some things that have never happened before!

So what’s new this month, and how can you join in on the fun and learning this month?
