Specific events received exposure prior to the Fair through social media including; concerts, carnival, exhibits and more. Residents of Canyon County and surrounding areas were invited to participate by answering trivia on Facebook and responding to fun polls. Twitter was implemented during the Fair with on-site digital signage to promote and inform visitors of upcoming events each day. With the integration of social media, the Canyon County Fair campaign resulted in a record-breaking year of attendance at 45, 686, which was a 15% increase from 2009. The Fair’s Facebook page grew from having 23 fans to 1,141 in only four months. The utilization of social media played an important role in the success of the 2010 Canyon County Fair & Festival.
