Dec. Meetup: Boise 3.0: Social Media for Social Good
Tuesday, December 7 · 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Location: The Lobby
“The phrase “social media for social good” is underwhelming. It implies charitable giving to non-profits, which is a good thing – but it doesn’t account for the other real benefits of a social media campaign to both non-profits and donors. And these real benefits – low overhead, network-building, large-scale exposure, etc. – are the driving force behind local non-profits’ efforts on online networking platforms. Come hear how local non-profits such as Life’s Kitchen, Commit 65, Boise Rescue Mission, Discovery Center of Idaho, and more are using these social media platforms for social good. The meetup’s free and starts at 5:30pm at The Lobby with $2 wells and domestic drafts.
