President’s Letter | November 2018

What are you grateful for?

A message from Rhea Allen.

We would like to thank our clients and community for a terrific 15 years!

This November I started sharing gratitude posts on my Facebook page. Here are some of the many things I have to be grateful for this year.

I am so grateful for my family! Drew and the boys are my reason “why” I do what I love to do everyday.

I am also thankful for my friends who lift me up and support me! I have an abundance of awesome friends, Peppershock friends, Family friends, Rotary friends, Chamber friends, Client friends, Arid Club friends, Givent friends, Scouting friends and some awesome best friends too!

I would like to challenge you to start posting your own “gratitudes” on Facebook. What a great way to reflect on how truly blessed you are.

Peppershock Highlights

I am so thankful for Vitality Wellness Center and Paige-Ann Hoy for helping me with my weight loss goals! I am down 44lbs since June and I am a whole lot healthier and happier! Thank you!

Melissa dressed as “Supergirl” to help support the Downtown Nampa Business Association trick or treat celebration.

Thank you all so much for such a wonderful partnership! I had a good time organizing volunteers from Nampa Rotary to serve lunch at the Nampa Family Shelter.

Peppershock Milestones

10th Annual Shocktoberfest

We would like to thank the Nampa Chamber and the local community for attending our Shocktoberfest celebration to honor our 15th anniversary. Also a big shout out to Old Country Sausage and Boise Fry Company for providing the excellent food for our event.

Our silent auction raised $746 for The Mentoring Network. This will help two students receive a mentor.  Thank you all!

Amazing Events

While Drew Allen got in on the nationwide lip sync craze in this Ford Idaho Center video. The Peppershock ladies below went to several amazing events!

Women Ignite Conference (WICON)

Rhea and Melissa attended the 5th annual WICON2018 conference featuring Dr. Jen Welter, the first FEMALE coach in the NFL! If you have not attended this conference put it on your calendar for next year.

WeROC: Women Entrepreneurs Realizing Opportunities For Capital

In 2017 women got less than 32% of the venture capital deployed. Why? That’s the main driver behind the creation of WeROC. Peppershock is proud to be a part of the WeROC movement.

Live2Lead

Angie did an excellent job of putting together the Live2Lead session in October. Peppershock and Jamie Chapman of Coaching Crossroads brought to the treasure valley this John Maxwell event. If you are looking for next level leadership skills, look for upcoming events put on by Coaching Crossroads.

As a final thought:

“We show little girls all the time to be beautiful and to do it all the wrong ways … I want little girls to grow up knowing that when they put their minds to something, when they work hard, that they can do anything regardless of those things.”

Dr. Jen Welter

Cheers!
